Eligibility Criteria for SBI Clerk Exam

Stages of the SBI Clerk Examination

Preliminary and main rounds of the SBI Clerk exam are held. Below, we’ve covered both of them in great detail:

Preliminary Exam: There are 100 questions on this objective-type test, and there are 100 marks available. This test has three sections—numerical ability, reasoning ability, and English language—and it lasts an hour. Those candidates who pass this exam will be qualified to take the main exam.

Main Exam: There are 190 questions total on this 200-point online test of objective type questions. This exam is conducted for 2 hours 40 Mins duration and has four sections: General English, General/ Financial Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude. Each wrong answer has a negative marking of 1/4th of the marks assigned to it. Once the candidate qualifies the main exam will then be called for a language proficiency test (LPT). The LPT is administered to candidates to ensure that they are proficient in the state’s native tongue before posting. The candidate’s performance in both the main exam and LPT is taken into consideration when making the final selection decision.

The exam format for the SBI Clerk exam has been divided into the following categories:
